I have the 2.5" autospring and added ride rite air bags in the rear because I tow a car and a trailer sometimes and did not want it to sag. The ride is great and improved the handling in the rear, it doesn't lean when turning anywhere near what it used to. the install was simple and the springs cost 250.00 shipped, i would difinitely recommend to improve handling and payload capacity (to prevent rake). Also, I believe I read the FX4 supercrew has a lower payload capacity than their other models.1560 lbs compared to 1900 pounds in 2 wheel drive configurations. I found the springs at this site for I believe to be a good price.

I would recommend if you tow regularly and want to prevent the back from sagging when you have a front lift or leveling kit installed. This is only a temporary issue until I get my full lift. Good luck

I see this is an Autospring thread, but mine is a Daystar 2.5" kit. Strictly cosmetic, I can't see any real performance benefits, especially with a 2WD like mine.

I think we all did it for an "look". After installing mine, the front end is a little stiffer (more preload). Airbags next.

I am thinking about doing helper springs in the rear, not to lift the rear, but to stiffen it up a little. Does anyone have any suggestions as far as helper or add-a-leaf rear springs?
