UH OH! Monday Truck!
So I just got off the phone with my dealer guy. He gave me a partial VIN (OK, what's the point of a partial VIN) and told me my truck is scheduled to be built Monday, the 29th. GREAT. After a holiday weekend, some hungover, too tired to see straight MidWesterner is going to be putting my truck together. I'm going to have a vibe in my ashtray, an ice cube tray in my drivetrain and a too short tailgate strap tethered to my plastic gas cap that's painted the wrong color. YEY!
I'm kidding of course, but seriously, I'm a tad concerned. Wouldn't you be?

Congrats on the upcoming ride! I wouldn't worry in the least. Dearborn is the most state of the art facility that F-150's roll out of from what I hear. I think you're in very good hands...

Hey I might take offense to that, being a midwesterner!
you shouldnt have any problem with your new truck, heck my last car was an 02' mustang and it was built on 9/11/01 how much work really got done that day!
anyway congrats on yer new truck heres a nanner from me!

Monday Truck
Just to let you know, I put the same effort and do the exact same thing to each truck whether it is Monday at 6:30AM, Wednesday at 1:00pm, or Friday at 4:59pm. It is a big myth that Monday morning and Friday afternoon built vehicles are inferior products AND I do take offense to your "midwesterner" comment.
I guess if your truck is built in Norfolk Virginia it will be much better because they don't ever get hungover and get plenty of sleep.

Thanx
Yhanx wattman1. Us "midwesterners" appreciate that.
People need to keep in mind the "vibration" is not a build problem, it is an engineering or part problem. Us lineworkers cannot put the vibration in a truck or keep it out of a truck. Also, kep in mind the vibration is in a very very small percentage of the trucks produced.

I guess some of you took offense to my MidWesterner remark. I really was kidding, but I apologize if it struck a nerve. I do appreciate the feedback.
Here's a step #22 on me.

My truck is great, I don't know the exact build date, but Monday, Tuesday or Friday, it is awesome.
Good luck with yours Truck of Doom! I'm sure you'll love it when she gets there!
