Well looks like I'm a new member of the 2004 club and I hope not vibe tribe :)

I finally compromised and got a new yellow 2004 f150 4x4 stx super cab 6.5' styleside bed. I like the FTX, but the price difference was too much for me. The rebates were too good to pass up IMO. I decided I liked yellow so waiting and missing out was not a real option especially when there are not too many left around here.

options:
3.55 ltd slip
carpet
sliding rear window
tow package

$21,394 with rebates and x plan.

I won't get it until probably Friday.

Stainless step bars and grill guard, bedrug, and undercover go on Saturday.

Welcome to F-150 land.

I was lucky enough to get the truck that I wanted - F-150 Supercab 4 X 4 with the 40-20-40 bench seat and with electronic 4 wheel drive selector on the dash. This gives me room in the front seat middle for another passenger.

The only available truck was Arizona Beige and was not my first choice but after having the truck for a while I am beginning to grow more fond of it. Looks gold in the sunlight.

Best of luck with your F-150. I hope it provides years of dependable service.

By the way - NO VIBE

Ken

Welcome aboard EI... sounds like you got a great deal!

Nashvegas eh? I went to school in BG so, Nash is the old romping grounds...

I was down there about a month ago and was pretty bummed out that Market Street was relocating their brewery and thus, didn't have any Bohannon's on tap.

Not a tow vehicle. I'm just going to put some accessories on it and park it outside my store.
The excursion will tow pretty much anything I need towed.

stay in the lightning forums, bub!

Bad news. I worked the deal yesterday afternoon the truck was all ready to go. Now, I come to find out that the dealer I'm working with doing the transfer didn't tell the other dealer until today and the dealer with the truck is working another deal.

that's a mighty sloppy or stupid mistake on somebody's part. your dealer sold you a vehicle on another dealer's lot? where did you see and test drive the truck? almost unbelievable that your dealer would have sold you the vehicle without being certain the dealer-to-dealer transfer or exchange was confirmed... so where do you stand?

Apparently they didn't technically sell it. They told me they sold it. but that was not the case. It was about to be sold. The "purchaser" didn't qualify for the loan or something is what I was told...
Anyway, instead of getting it today it will be Friday before I can get it. Good thing, because I started to look at some FX4's around the area and my wife would have killed me for spending more than we agreed...

I didn't test drive it. I will probably not drive the truck much. I bought my last three fords w/o a test drive and they did well.
If it has the vibe then it can sit at the dealer lot until it is fixed or bought back.
