Thinking of getting an 04 F-150 (debating with 04 Ram 1500). I was wondering if there were any mild lift kits out there. I am not a huge off roader and don't go on very extreme trips, but I do go once in a while to places with a few friends and would like some extra ground clearance. I would also like to have 33-35" tires tucked under there without running into clearance problems. The truck will be used for daily use probably 95% of the time, but I also want it to be capable of getting down and dirty when called upon.

Would a leveling kit be sufficient for this? From some pix I have seen, it seems pretty close, while the 6" lift is a bit too extreme. What do you folks think? Is there another kit that lifts it like 3"/2" or something along those lines?

If you use the search function you will be able to find many different threads about lifting 04-05 F150's.

But basically it boils down to a leveling kit of various heights and makers, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, or 3 inch from Autospring, Daystar, Revtech and a few others.

Or a lift kit again of different heights and makers, 3, 4, or 6 inch from a number of different makers
