Exclamation Do the 05's have vibes?

Just curious if anyone has an 05 that vibes? I really want a new 05' Ford F-150. But these threads about the 04 vibes are getting on my nerves. Not to sound whiney or anything, but I just have to get this out of my system. After reading all these horror stories about people going to the DSB to get their money back for a $30k+ truck that should not vibrate AT ALL, it tends to make me think twice about buying a new F-150. Don't get me wrong, I love Ford trucks and always will. And I plan on buying one because I have always owned Ford trucks since I've been able to drive. But everyday the number of people coming to this site to complain of a vibration problem IS increasing. That's just my observation. Is this just a first year production gremlin? What are the chances of me buying a new 05 that vibrates? All 2005 F-150 owners please post here to tell us if Ford fixed the problems on the 05 models. Thanks! Peace... :o

Only 230 miles on mine but, as of yet, no vibration as has been described by several.

I got a 04 Lariat that’s perfect. No vibration, no bed shake, A/C pumps, etc., etc., etc., everything’s good. My build date was 9-03 Kansas City plant. I’ve had it since 10-24-03, got about 13,000 miles on it. Of the many thousands of 04 F150’s sold there is a very small percentage with perceived vibration problems.

I only have about 700 miles on my '05 Lariat SuperCrew and no vibes or any other problems.

Well, there's three without the vibes. Let's see who else responds. Trying to stay on a positive note... I figure with all these threads about vibes, there should be a thread about all the trucks without the vibration problem. Thanks for posting and good luck with your trucks! Btw, I love the Ranch RP.

Peacemaker,

In the LOOONG vibe thread, Ford is supposed to be coming out with 3 new TSB's for the vibe issue for the 04's. Hope to get mine fixed finally. I'm so ready to do some aftermarket stuff but want to hold off in case of a buy back.

Your welcome Rock. I hope everyone with an 04 that vibrates gets it taken care of with the new TSB's. If that doesn't fix them, Ford should bite the bullet and buy them back! Just my 2 cents.

Hang in there, it'll work out one way or another.

If I were you, I wouldn't worry about the vibe problem. It's not as wide spread as it sounds. Just test drive the truck before you buy it.

Any dealer that has a customer that they know is not window shopping will let you take the truck for an hour or two, maybe more. Take it out on the highway, a smooth highway, drive it at different speeds and you will see what most of think about our trucks...

4 months, 3600 miles and I still enjoy the ride as I did the first day. No vibe, no problems.

Don't worry. I'll take it for a 2 or 3 hour test drive. My next door neighbor is a salesman at a Ford dealership here in town. I think I can maybe take one home for the weekend if I ask. So I'll have alot of time to check it out.
