Lower the rear or lift the front?
Lower the rear or lift the front?
I recently purchased a 2004 Supercrew 4 x 4 with the trailer towing package. Since I just sold my Cobra and other race toys I will not be pulling anything larger or heavier than my 17' Bass boat.
I definately want to level out the SCrew as the rear end being much higher than the front is not to my liking. My question is this, should I get a set of lowering shackles and drop the rear, or spend additional $$$ and lift the front. I am leaning toward lowering the rear end as this is what I did with my 2001 SCrew to level it out. Larger tires and wheels are not in my plans. Any suggestions? Anyone gone this route?

since its a 4x4 I vote for lifting the front a couple inches. I like the up high ride.
however, if you are set on lowering it, perhaps you could just remove the two inch block that Ford installs on the rear axle of 4 wheel drives. That would drop you exactly two inches.
its all about what you like, its your rig.

Deja Vu!
A couple of people have already been here and done this.
