When I ordered ny 04 it was available in a Supercab 5.5' bed (133'' wheel base). I've got an XLT Scab with the 5.5' bed but mine was ordered for me, they didn't have any of the 133'' wheel base in stock and said it was rare. I did hear rumors (nothing solid) that the 133'' wheel base wasn't selling well and maybe it ended up on the chopping block for 05.

I have a one of those "RARE" trucks.
FX4 SCAB with 5.5 Ft bed.
I ordered it from the KC factory in December 03, but didn't get it till March 04. The hold up was getting the frame built for it. I was told that only 6% of all the trucks built would be this 133 inch wheelbase. These trucks are VERY rare. I have only see one in person besides mine.
This wheel base is perfect for me because I don't need a 6.5 bed sense I don't use the bed much.
The short wheel base allows this truck to be very nimble in tight places... like parking garages.
And it fits perfectly in the garage...
I need to update my gallery, but you can check out the stock pictures of my truck.

They make sense.
All of theSCrew owners have proven that sometimes 5.5 is all you need...
Just as SCab owners have proven that you dont always need a fullsize rear seat.
Put the two together and voila... Fords trumps the competition again with a unique body style (I think they were also the first to offer crew cab short box in heavy duties as well as supercab/crewcad chassis cab trucks)
