04 rotor problems

Does anyone have a rotor problem in there 04 F-150. I have a supercrew with 4000 miles and has been in the shop 4 times. They have turned the rotors twice. It corrects the problem for about 100 miles. Ford has had my truck sence last Wednesday 11/10. They are saying the new rotors are on back-order still today 11/18. Is Ford having a mass problem with the rotors on the F-150.
Thanks for any info.

firstly, REFUSE to have the rotors turned. This just shortens their life.

If there is an issue with them from the factory, demand the replace the rotor.

Mine also warped in less than 3000 miles. Dealer has ordered my new rotors and did say that the new style is going to take awhile to get there. I am on schedule to take her back on the 29th to have them installed.

Who cares if it has been posted before. I hate searching for crap anyway.

I too have the rotor problem, and I have yet to have it looked at. They are seriously grooved with 9000 miles on it. Gotta get it looked at.

3300 miles and no rotor warping problems.......YET!

I tend to agree with you hellbound F-150... it seems like there are a few forum police who jump on folks who haven't done an extensive search.

Over time, things change. For example, I made a post about "clicking noise in column solved", and response was light. Since then, I have learned more info, but not substantial enough to start a new thread. If someone discovers the same problem in a few months, I'll be happy to discuss it again and help somebody else out, while also adding the new info I have retained. Others may also have additional info to add by then!

I'm not going to tell them to go use the search function... they would not be able to access the additional info or ideas the I or someone else has gleened since the date of the last post....................... unless they want to know the difference between daystar and autospring!

I haven't checked for grooving yet. I will next time I rotate tires.

What is the driving symptom for warped rotors? How does it feel?

You will feel a pulsation while braking in the entire truck also in the steering wheel if its the fronts, and it usually is at least. It will be more noticeable with warm/hot rotors after repeated or long braking activity.

Or they could use the search button find the answer quicker than having to wait for a reply. Plus the fact that not all pertinent information from one thread will be discussed in a new thread and thus gaining even more information.
