Exclamation I hit a deer too!

Only, we do it a bit different here. I hit it with a shotgun and threw it in the back of my truck.

Seriously though, That's too bad about your truck. I have come close several times. There are dead deer on the highway everyday here. New ones daily! At least it wasn't a moose.

The same thought crossed my mind! I kind of wish I hit it straight on, rather than it running into the corner of my truck. Oh well, maybe next time

And yes, there was fur at the bottom of the flare

Just be thankful it was not a bull moose instead of a deer you hit. Could have been much worse.

I have seen some pretty crazy stuff.

I have handled claims for people hitting everything from CAMELS to Alligators. USE CAUTION WHEN DRIVING NEAR AN EXOTIC ANIMAL "ZOO".

speaking of moose, here's a little info in case anybody needs it.

if you're driving down the road and you see a bull moose standing in the middle of the road, DO NOT, under any circumstances, blow your horn to get it to move. It will move, but not the direction you want it to...

Not from personal direct experience, but secondhand. My job is rigging out steel trucks; a lot of our trucks run into the back country of New England and have personally witnessed a lot of Moose accidents. Moose are practically blind. A rutting bull moose in the middle of the road, looking at a truck, thinks it's another moose. a truck horn sounds like a bellowing, challenging bull to him. Upon blowing the horn, a bull moose is very likely to attack/charge the car/truck. cars and trucks have been totalled by this very thing happening. Swear to god...

I have hit deer with a car and a blazer, but I prefer to hit them with an arrow...

Got my truck back today, total was $2900, wow. But it looks as good as new, would never know there was body work done. I am happy again!

So how long should I wait to apply some polish/NXT to the new paint? I don't like leaving it unprotected over the winter. I wont need to use the clay bar since it was just painted, and is VERY smooth
