reading OBD II codes

I put an Airaid intake on my 04 5.4l about 2k miles ago, reset the computer when I put it on. Now the engine light came on, I'd like to find out if it's the intake before I take it in to the dealer. I've tried two of the Actron readers used at Autozone and both have given a link error. I've searched other threads but can't find anything about this, can anyone help? Thanks.

By the way, it just got cold here in Albuquerque, could that have anything to do with it?

mbasanta,

Several people with the Airaid have had their CEL come on because of a lean condition.

The OBDII readers at AutoZone don't work because they aren't compatible with the CAN technology that is used in the 04 and 05 F150s. The Superchips 1714 microtuners can read the codes...

I recommend that you call Airaid about this. Whatever you do, don't ignore the light...

Good luck,
