Hello all. First off let me say that I am new to the forum, but I find it very interesting and informing. I love it here!

ok, now for my problem. I purchased a 04 f150 lariat, and i have had it for only 3 weeks (the check has not even cleared the bank yet...). I noticed a little puddle on the garage floor and thought it was leaking oil... Yesterday my brother in law, which is a mechanic, was installing some black westin nerf bars on my truck... we he put it on a lift to install them, and said hey - your truck is leaking transmission fluid! Ok now im really freaking out... im taking the truck to service on monday morning... The plastic cap on the underside of the truck was soaked with transmission fluid, and was dripping out!

has anyone experienced a problem like this before? What do you think they are gonna have to do to fix this problem?

 

The front pump seal may be leaking or the transmission may have been overfilled.

 

as long as it is nothing major wrong, I am okay...

Also forgot to mention, I am getting the Ford remote starter installed Monday too!

 

Well, if the transmission was overfilled, no big deal. If the front pump seal is leaking, the transmission has to come out to replace it.
