Exhaust question

Ok I just put dual exhuast on my '04 F150 4x4 Lariat supercab. (Flowmaster Super 40, 2.5" all the way back to 3.5" stainless tips) My question is I have read that when you put on a new exhaust you should disconnect the battery and let the computer reset. My question is whether this is necessary or not and how to do it.

Unnecessary, the computer will adapt to the new exhaust without having to be reset.

The only thing disconecting the battery does, besides losing everything you have programmed, is to reset your computer faster.

As to how todo it, unhook the battery cable for a few minutes.
