When it says 3 inch lift is that 3 in the front and 3 in the rear or 5 in the front and 3 in the rear....to make it level?

Whats the deal with the skyjacker 3 in kit. Does it just replace the stock strut with a taller one or what. What does the kit include (hardware). Can you still have a spacer with the skyjacker? Why is it much cheaper than a 6 in lift?

Thumbs down

After reading the info about the lift you can save a bunch of money by just getting a leveling kit. It say's that all you can clear are 33's. So I guess I'm just wondering why you would spend that much for a lift that cant give you a real lift.

To each his own just my 2 cents

I also ordered this lift kit and it should be in any day now. I paid $620 from 4wheelparts, and for anyone considering it, i would wait until one of their deals comes along (10% off or free shipping). I ordered this kit on the basis of i wanted more suspension travel and to be different. 6" are too big for me and too much $$$ and level kits are a dime a dozen. As for fitting bigger than 33s, I dont think it should be a problem (people with leveling kits are running 35s).

how do you figure a 2" leveling kit is the same as a 3" lift all the way around, especially when the leveling kit is really like 1.5"?

The Skyjacker 3" kit is a new coil up front to increase the height in front by 3". The rear only gains an inch or so with the add-a-leaf. IMO its not worth the money to get this kit because you could spend a little more and get a full 6" which doesnt really look all that tall and definitely not out of place.
If you are just looking to tuck some bigger tires under your truck, go with the leveling kit since its only $100. If you want more travel and bigger tires then go with the 6" for around $1000-$1500, its worth it.

well i believe this is a better deal. im gaining 2" out back and 3" out front. i only gain 1.5" from the leveling kit out front, and im saving $1000+ with installation. those 6" kits are $1500+
