I'm right at 80" for the garage so, I'm pretty confident that it'll fit with little problem. I do anticipate the antenna having to be changed down to a stubby but, that's not a big deal.

RockPick,

I measured my 4x4 Screw for someone else before...the highest point of the cab was 75 1/4"...I've used some parking garages with a max. clearance of 77"...but I won't even try anything marked less.

I know how tempting the '05 KR is for you...but your '01 KR is awesome, too. I know it's not an easy decision for you. Good luck with whatever you decide. If you do buy the '05, whoever gets your 2001 will be very fortunate (make sure you leave detailed care instructions in the glove box.

I love my 2001; there's no arguement there. I've just been bitten by this bug and, while it's not impossible to overcome, it's not easy either. I got a tiny bite back in late 2004 with a SuperDuty but managed to convince myself that it was far too much truck. I simply don't even need a truck for the majority of the stuff that I do but, I'm a truck guy that loves the feel of a land yacht and thus, I'll do that for myself.

My job is incredibly stressful and I find myself giving up a bunch so that I can have a life and not becoming permanently welded to my professional career. Fortunately, my job, thusfar, has been good to me (not exceedingly good but, good) and thus, I really feel that this is a 'treat' for me. Strangely enough, the 'pit boss' hasn't shot this one down totally...

Same here RockPick i just like the feel and ride height of a truck. I like looking over and ahead in traffic it's a more comforting drive. I was driving my 03 for ten months when the bug hit me one saturday morning. Before my cup of coffee was empty i was at the dealer test driving and bam . There was no vaccination available LOL.

The powerfold mirrors on the KR will be a VERY nice feature to have at my disposal for the garage though!
Oh man, I wish I could've had those mirrors put on my new Lariat I have a garage with two standard 94" openings and I have to reach out and fold one of those mirrors in. Just a minor inconvenience really, but I would have ordered them if they were available.

I have enough height (even for a lift one day) as only the tip of the antenna catches when I pull in. I tell you what though, pulling that truck into the narrow opening of my garage is really like threading a needle

Rock Pick,

You might want to review that website that I showed you again. I looked at it just now and the H711 must be subtracted as it is drawn. I'll measure my truck tonight and let you know what I determine.

BTW, happy halloween to everyone.

later,

~DM~

Ahh, the peer pressure...

After further review and assistance from the mathmatician in the family and Dave, you all are right... you do have to subtract the H711 but, none the less, the data just doesn't match up with what the others are saying... Seems weird that Ford would have multitudes of data out there floating around on their websites.

None the less, any way you look at it, I think it'll fit in the garage. I'm going to go look at it again tomorrow night after work (of course it's dark at 6pm now though... blah). I want Daylight Savings Time back!!!

Anyone know of any great deals on financing?

'05 supercrews

1.9 2.9 3.9 3,4 and 5 yr loans

'04s would be 1% lower for each one.

Yeah, I just saw that... impressive numbers.

That appears to be good until Jan of 05 too.

Unfortunately, an 04 isn't an option pending I want a KR...

While we're running with this path... another question...

Utilizing Ford Credit, could I have the dealership add a hard tonneau to my truck and add that into the amount financed?

sure...anything they offer they would gladly put into the deal to get the sale. Hell, all they see it as is they are getting interest off that sale as well
