Thats a little shady
Actually, not shady at all. SSN is the only way to prove ID when at time of purchase. This is how I bought my '01 L. No problems at all. Just go to the dealer with your pin #, get the X-plan price. Just remember to get your rebate $$ too!!. DO NOT let the dealer keep the rebates! Just wish they had rebates on my L back in '01.

Eddy, an SSN is required to get a pin for the employee/family/friend.

What's shady is someone passing them out like candy on an Internet forum. Can you say identity theft? Yeah yeah, long term member blah blah blah... still a stranger. Would you trust ME with your private info?! Yeah, I thought so.

X-plan isn't that special... with the deals they are doing right now you can actually do better than x-plan.

you dont need full SSN, just the last 4 numbers...need one let me know... As an employee of Ford, I read in the paper that if we use all of our pins Ford is going to give us a replica metal(toy) car of the new GT. Signed by Bill Ford....

For those that emailed me, I requested information from them. Yes, it may seem like a lot of information, but that is what Ford requests.

They just offered us to give up a few A plan pins in exhange for a greater number of X plan pins. Ford is in a crunch to sell a bunch of vehicles before the end of the year, for many different reasons. As an employee, I am trying to help.

If somebody does not feel comfortable providing their information, then that is fine, I understand. If they want an X-plan pin, then that is the information that is needed.

I am not forcing anybody to take it, just offering it up to try and help someone out.

I could use an X-plan pin

Loosebolt you have mail.

What are the benefits of the plan. You get a percentage below invoice plus all the incetives and discount the dealer recieved from ford. Is that correct?

Can the x-plan be used on any ford product?

Will it still apply if you have a trade in?

Will it still apply if I order the vehicle?

I will be ready for a new mustang gt very soon.

Yes to all... I traded my 2000 Mustang GT Convertible !

For the other person asking what was the dealer cost I don't know I haven't look but the one I saw from Ford there is 3 prices :

1 - Retail

2 - X-Plan

3 - A-Plan

Dealer cannot charge you more when you have your PIN number for what ever Plan you got !

My brother is trying to decide between a Silverado Crew and a F-150 Supercrew. I am trying real hard to persuade him to get an F150 but he likes Chevy. I told him about the xplan and he talked to the Ford dealer today.

He wanted to know how long it takes before the xplan can be activated. He doesn't want to get one and waste it if he changes his mind. So, how long would it take from the time that I send the first email until he gets a pin #?
