I voted for synthetic before I voted against it.
It doesn't matter what oil you use because I have 4 Royal Purple hearts.

Hey - I hate to pull this away from the wonders of politics... but ummm....

what viscosity pancake syrup would you recommend? Do I go with the artificially flavored or "real"?

sorry - i started laughing at the first pancake syrup comment and my ex had to chime his two cents in....

Did any of you notice a MPG increase after the switch over?

In past cars I have. My dad said that the 04 Lariat 5.4L 4x2 is getting 15-16mpg around town, whereas we were getting 12-13mpg before. Granted we changed at about 1500mi, so maybe it wasnt completely broken in. The truck is stock other than Amsoil Synthetic fluids.

The 04 FX4 gets Amsoil in everything next week (or as soon as it stops raining). Right now gas mileage sucks and is around 11-12mpg, but it hasnt been driven much and has just shy of 1000mi. It also has 1714 tuner, Airaid, and exhaust. Hopefully gas mileage gets better!
