Just buy a freakin' Daystar kit. Only one size, and it does level the truck nicely. 1-2-3 easy.

larry150 - your truck looks fine to me. You only state 'seems' a bit lower. From the pic it looks dead nuts level. Did you measure it?

To clear things up, autospring makes 3 "lifts". 1.5", 2", 2.5". The 2" lift is 1 5/8" thick. The 1.5" lift is a little thinner and the 2.5" lift is a little thicker.

There is no need to belittle others on the forum, red wing nut! Seems you are the confused one. Your profile says 1.5" lift, but you say you have a 2" lift and 1.5" spacer. The 2" lift is 1 5/8" thick (not the 1.5"). If you want the front higher, go with daystar or autospring 2.5".

So my question to you (again) is, what "lift" do you have. The 1.5" or 2" lift. If your spacer was 1 5/8, then you have the 2" lift.

UPDATE: I see you updated your profile

You’re the one that must be confused because I’m not trying to belittle anyone and my profile doesn’t say 1 ½” lift because I don’t have a profile.
One more time.
1. I called Autospring and ordered 1 ½” spacers from Kevin.
2. When I got them they measured 1 5/8”.
3. When I installed them I got 2 ¼” of lift

Is that so hard to understand?

I have nearly 32k on my truck. I have had the daystar lift since I put 4k miles on it. I have had no problems with the lift. I would recommend the daystar lift.

Sorry jpdadeo, I meant red wind nut in my last post, I fixed it. I also see he updated his profile. Autospring sent you the wrong spacer then. The 1.5" lift is not 1 5/8", so you got the 2" lift.

So does anyone with a SCrew have the autospring 2" lift? If so, is your rear a little higher than the front?

How can I be the one who is confused when I am the one with the lift? Back when I bought the Auto Spring, they called it a 1.5 kit. That is when I put it in my sig. I changed it to TRY to clear up the confusion. I'm not trying to belittle anyone. I've seen on a couple of lift threads, including this one, where ShadowedFX4 has stated his confusion. That's why I said he should call Auto Spring and talk to them. That's why I posted actual dimensions before and after and posted pictures before and after.

I have to agree with Red Wing Nut about the Autospring confusion. When I ordered my 1 ½” lift kit directly from Kevin at Autospring, they were called 1 ½” but they actually measured 1 5/8”. Why, who knows? but that the way is was six months ago. The 1 5/8” spacer gave me 2 ¼” of lift. End result was the rear is 1” higher than the front. I have a Screw and now it looks level; perfect in my opinion.

Yes, autospring is very confusing. I might break down and get their 2" lift until I can afford the 4" rancho

Damn I'm confused after reading this thread.

Got this much clear-I call Daystar and talk to Tuff Country to buy a 2" Autospring lift but it is only 1-5/8 tall.

Question-Do you get a discount since they left off 3/8 of an inch?

That’s a good question because 3/8” = 37.5% and that would be a healthy discount. If the lift kit is $125. minus 37.5%, you would pay $78.12

I had the 2 1/2" Daystar kit installed last week-end....the question is: Why the H@ll doesn't the truck come this way from the factory, it is so much nicer looking and even feels better driving. It should come this way from the factory.

Ahhhh... a fellow daystar owner! It should come from the factory like this, but the safety ****'s at Ford wouldn't have it.

Because trucks are made for hauling. That's why they are higher in the back than in the front... they level out when under load. If you don't haul anything then it's fine but if you do with a level kit, then your truck will be sagging lower in the rear than the front.
