Question Boxed Frame

Since the new 150 has a boxed frame, how does the dirt and salt get washed out of the frame? You know it is going to get trapped inside this new frame, how long will that last? I live in Wisconsin and I know the road salt is going to eat this truck alive. My 98 had an open frame design so I could at lease rinse most of the salt and mud off.

Anybody have input or concerns like I do? I suppose you could go up and down the frame spraying water into each hole you can find to clean the best you can?????

My comanche has a box frame. Built in 87 and still going strong.

When was the last time you saw a frame that failed because of rust?

I have looked at frames that have been sitting in junk yards for 40 years and they are still useable.

If you live in the rust belt, you need to be more concerned about body crevices.
