Looking to get a 2004

the rebates are nice on them right now

I am looking at the DSG, i originally wanted a regular cab however people have talked me into get a supercab....and i was wondering how much room is actually behind a regular cab's seats?

went to my dealer and all they had were 2 SC and about 10 CC

i would also like to see some pics of the DSG...i saw some in the gallery but wow that thing is a mess....trying to find a certain color

A lot of the regulars are probably at work right now...you'll get more responses this evening. Not everyone's a vampire like me. Anyway, Reg cabs are great. The extra space and doors in the standard cab is the main reason I was originally attracted to the new 2004 f150's. I can carry a full size toolbox behind the seats with them the whole way back and reclined. A 30 pack of High Life fits nicely back there as well. Plus all my jackets, air compressor, boat trailer tire jack. I never haul more than myself and one other person, but do have a lot of junk I like to carry around in the cab, plus like to have a big boomy subwoofer. Any other manufacturers trucks would have made me need an extended cab. For fitting extra people, the extended cab is okay in a pinch, but I wouldn't want to ride for a while in it. Although kids would be alright in it.

good luck on your truck search... i originally was in search of a
dark grey myself but the one i found at a particular dealer had
a passenger door alignment prob. so i scooped the one i now drive. these reg. cabs rock. I needed a two seater that could transport my drumkit and my extra stuff BUT no backseat riders
lol lol lol

I got my reg cab last Saturday and i love it. Plenty of room for extra crap and a 12" sub. The doors make it really easy to get stuff in and out. Where are you from i got a great deal on mine in Charllotte NC.

I love the room in my reg cab, it has almost as much a my 2004 scab ranger I had! I pack a couple large toolboxes in there during the week and my black lab in there on weekends( I just move the seats forward for her a little then she has plenty of room!)

nobody is selling for sticker now, they weren't in April when I bought and I did get an XLT for that. Tell them you'll give them 500 below invoice and see what they say, work up to invoice and I have feeling you won't pay a penny more than invoice at most.

i went to woodhouse ford last night, its in Blair Ne (2nd largest dealer in the nation)

they tried to sell me a "Lightly Haildented" 2004 XLT SCab 5.4L 4X4 for 26,500

and they acted like they were doing me a favor

they rolled the dings out of the hood and top, did a good job....looked at it in the service bay since it was night....there were some dings in the bed (no big deal) and then there were 3 in the section between the 2 side windows on the drivers side

told them i would have to think about it

now base invoice on this truck is ~26,500 before the options and Destinatiron....but since it was a hail damaged unit i was thinking it should be lower because of the Damage

I paid $500 more for a new 2004 FX4, with the 5.4 L engine, towing package. I used cars direct service on the internet, but ended up negotiating the price myself. As others have said, you should not pay more than invoice presently, on the 04's.

I don't know where you are located, but if you would be willing to drive to Rochester NY I could direct you to my dealer who usually sells below invoice or at invoice at the very most (I paid $200 below invoice for mine before all rebates and that was in april). They have great service and won't try and sell you a hail damaged truck for the same price as an undamaged one. If you are interested, e-mail me through the site and I'll point you towards them.

its a toss up, i went down there looking for a regular cab....but others said an Excab would be what i wanted

it seemed like the dealer was trying to fit me into what they had instead of me picking out what i wanted NEVER did they said they could get what i wanted, i think they wanted to get rid of the hail dented ones lol

i am going to use this to my advantage...calling their arch rival 30 miles away and telling them that i went to woodhouse (which is 1 1/2 hours away from me) and didnt come home with anything i had one possibility (wont tell em about the damage) and see what they can do to beat their price

oh and I am in Nebraska
