Front end vibration
Front end vibration
I am new to this forum, and am happy to be here, as it appears there is a wealth of information. I have recently purchased a new 2004 Ford F150 FX4, with the dreaded front end vibration at around 70 miles per hour. Before visiting this website, I thought it was a tire issue and took the truck back to the dealer, who informed me the tires were likely flat-spotted form sitting on the lot and asked me to put a few hundred miles on it to see if the vibration went away. This process worked to an extent, but again, the 70 mile and up vibration contineus, but less so than before. Any new information out there, if Ford is looking for a soultion to this problem?
Thanks in advance

have your dealer road force balance your tires and replace any tires over 25.
the shimmy dampner helps also (mounts to frame behind left wheel well)
also check to see if your steering rack has a green dot beside the bar code if it does not you do not have the newest version.
