For those with Tire/Wheel Questions

A common question on this site has been, "How far do 35s stick out on aftermarket rims?"

Here is a shot of the front and rear well of my truck, as requested. I have BFG 315/70/17 on American Eagle Alloy Series 186 17x9 with 5" of backspacing. The tires stick out about an 1" to 2". They do tend to throw a little debris into the body when going through a turn or mud but typically dont get past the fenders and step bars.
I hope this helps who ever needs it.

Looks like somebody needs some Bushwacker flares!

Excellent post, Eddy. Perfect shots w/ details on the hardware. I was waiting for something like this. Nice.

EDIT: Can't you park between the lines?!

Is it my imagination or do the fronts stick out a little further because of the distance between the fenders?

As far as the lines go...ahole...the spots are pretty damn narrow and if I park any closer to the right I would have to listen to the little woman with the Focus complain about opening her door.

About the front being out more. It appears that way more from the front than the rear. I should have taken one from behind the front well too. The back of the front well is similar to the rear well so its not bad. I think the front of the front well tends to wrap into the bumper more and shows more tire. I think you will notice it with a stock setup as well.

That is pretty close to perfect. It looks aggressive, without sticking out too far. As far as the front sticking out more, it probably does. Your lift kit increased your front track width by a couple of inches. I've read reviews on the Pro Comp and Fabtech lifts and they both mentioned this. As far as the rims, you made a great choice. The 10 inch wide wheels I've seen stick out too far. An 8 to 9 inch wheel appears to be the best choice for the new F-150's. Your wheels actually stick out farther than my 16x10's (with 4 1/2 inches of backspacing) on my 01 Screw.
