Question Super Bright backup bulbs

Has anyone installed the "Super Bright" backup lights. I have a very narrow drive on a pretty steep hill and the OEM lights do not put out much light when you look through the rear slider.

I am concerned that the "Super Brights" might get too hot and melt the tail light covers.

Is that a problem I should be worried about

I was looking into a set of those too. I was wondering the same thing about melting though, but on past trucks it hasnt been a problem. And I think the taillight housing has a little more spacing between the outside and the light (in contrast to my previous truck).

Let me know if you do them! Oh and which bulb # is it?

How long does it take you to back up, that you are worried about melting the tail lights?

Not sure. The drive is about 100 ft. I need to go pretty slow though. One side is tree lined and the other is a drop off into the yard or huge sewer drain at the bottom.

get a flood light tapped into your reverse lights.
