Wow, well here Go. The F-150 is a truck. I am a huge Ford fan. f you want luxuries you buy a Lincoln Blackwood or wait for that new one coming out. More stuff means more breaks means costs more down the road to fix. Also, I CANNOT see the comparison between the F-150 and the titan. It is a Nissan. I am not against them it is just they are two seperate things. Besides We are in America and should support our own country. I also own a VW golf diesel so I am not against imports I just prefer to stay in country. Anyway, this is just my oppinion I love my F-150. My explorer is a POS though. I got the first year of the new body style and have had many problems.

I dont much like the looks of the Lincoln blackwood at all.... Basically imports do come with alot of "cool" little things, and Just because an american manafacture would POSSIBLY and or put things like that in their trucks doesnt make it less "american made"..... Yes its a truck, which all i like are trucks i HATE cars as a daily driver, So i think a truck should be more luxurious inside, but still a beefy mean *** truck on the outside... i see nothing wrong with that,

Have you driven the new Lariat? It's very luxurious and it's still a mean a$$ truck... One test drive and I knew this was the truck for me.

One option I am glad we don't have is the track system found on the Titan. A friend has it... what a waste. You can't use a tonneau cover, the clip system is hard to move and I don't see any value with it. He needs to put a sheet of plywood down to protect anything he wants to load in the bed. We have cleats in each corner and if we want, we can add some popouts to the top corners of the bed. Why would we want anything more than that.

At the least, every truck should come with a high end sound system. They should contract with a major brand name instead of doing their own.
I wonder how many stock systems get trashed and end up in a land fill.
I would rather they did not even include one as I feel guilty throwing away new stuff.........

Brak,

Have you heard the audiophile systems. I think it sounds great to be a factory system in a pickup truck.

The sticker on my Lariat was just under $41k. That is a lot of money. The options I listed are not unreasonable requests for a vehicle in this price range. That is the point of offering so many trim levels, that way there is something for everyone.

i agree the audiophile system sounds pretty good for stock sound system.....But then brak also makes a good statement, with as much as these vehicles cost now... why not team up with an aftermarket company and put a great system in straight from factory, i think everyone would smile ear to ear if someday while looking at fords new updates on the vehicle it said "Comes with Alpine head unit and speakers with sub and sub box under back seat" eh? Think about it ladies

I wish mine had come equipped with a new Honda CRF450R tied up in the bed. Now that would be cool.

Many others have done this. Nissan has Rockford Fostgate, Dodge has Infinity, GMC has Bose. Thing is, they all suck. The Ford Audiophile has better bass than any of them and the clarity of the speakers from what I have heard (I always take my fav cds when test driving and I have test driven them all) are just as clear if not clearer than most.

Just having that aftermarket name on it means little. In fact to me it means nothing. You will never get a high quality sound system in a car that compares to the top level of the aftermarket.

the new fords need a metal instead of plastic gasoline filler door, a more powerful AC system (i am in south texas), definitely needs a factory satellite radio option, a tach on the STX package, and lose four hundred pounds in the chassis to make it lighter.

and i wish they would lower the truck a couple of inches as it's not easy to lean over the bed side when loading stuff (i am not short at 5' 11" but for sure not tall either)

Overall, Great vehicle and the smoothest riding truck on the planet. And the audiophile option is bad to the bone.

Did you read any of what you typed above?

Did you give the slightest thought as to what you are saying?

You make absolutely no sense and might possibly be more contradictory than any one person running for office in 2005.
