I have Protech's 2.75" leveling kit on mine. See gallery for pics. Has 315/70/17 BFG's on it as well.

If you have a few hundred bucks to spare, do it! It really gives the truck a better look IMO.

I did the Daystar 2.5" and then added new (slightly bigger) tires. Pics in my gallery (noted as before/after). Note, I had the leveling kit and the tires done the same day, so you won't see a simple before/after of the Daystar with stock tires.

Hey, where did you get those longhorn emblems? I am no exactly what you call a texas fan but I wonder if they make those wtih any other logos on them?

Also, what is the point of a leveling kit? Is it mostly for looks or is there some sort of performance enhancing qualities to it? I am kinda new to this truck thing, I don't take delivery until monday.

Did it hurt your ride quality or make your suspension noisey?

The Autosprings bolt on top of the strut. It doesn't change the driveline or suspension really. I have felt no difference in ride quality. Plus it was pretty easy to install. Maybe an hour and half total.

There are two reasons I chose to install the leveling kit.

- First, the aesthetic reason: makes the truck sit up even in the front and back ... almost as if you put a mild lift kit all the way around. Notice that most true suspension lift kits even out the height in front and back.

- Second, the "meat" reason: eventually I am looking to putting some bigger tires on the stock 18" rims. I believe that some folks have already swapped 35"s under there. I was thinking more along the lines of 33" or 34".

HTH.

Yeah man thanks for the info. Did you need to realign the suspension?

Yeah I had to get it realigned. The toe was off just a little.

Cool thanks man. Did you install them yourself? Also I see you have a 10" sub where the heck did you put that thing?

I installed the Autospring with a help of a mechanic buddy. Simply lowered the strut and squeezed it in. Bolted it back up.

The 10" sub is under the back driver's seat in a box i built. I just finished building a dual 10" sub box, but I haven't figured out where and how to relocate my tire jack. A lot of people have done this already. DUPUIS relocated his jack into the engine bay.
