Question Air Filter Kits

Ok,

Here's the deal, I recently bought an '04 FX4 Supercrew with a 5.4 V8. I am really interested in a performance air filter kit. I have a couple of friends that have K&N kits and say nothing but good things about them. I don't know much about these kits and am looking for a little feed back on what some of you guys out there have already.

Is there any advantage to doing a complete intake over just putting in a K&N filter?

Finally, where can I go to find these kits and filters? Everywhere I seem to look has nothing listed for '04 model trucks!!!

Some help, insight, opinions etc. would be very helpfull!

Thanks.

AIRAID intakes are the only complete intake systems legal in all 50 states. Do a search and you can read on alot of Mike Troyers posts about the AIRAID system.

Great info above! Check out www.troyerperformance.com for the Airraid. I just ordered one yesterday and it is a great kit and Troyers has great service! They will also carry the AF1 intake once it comes out if you are looking for a chrome intake.

From what I have read going the full intake over just a filter will be benificial. You will be getting more air into the engine, which is good!

Also if you are looking for another legal air intake check out CGS intakes. Just look them up on google. Great design and they look good.

Guys thanks for the help. I looked at the kit that is available on the website you listed. That looks like what I was looking for. Thanks again for the help.
