I am curious about the same thing, except I want to paint mine DSG to match my lower trim on my white truck. Wonder how much it would cost.

I have seen it done to match the body and it looks pretty good in my opinion. More sporty.

 

a body shop here said if i took it off and brought it to him it'd be $40 to paint the bars white

 

40 bucks!!! That sounds like a real good price to me! I plan on getting a whole bunch of body pieces painted soon. The door sockets, tailgate handle, mirrors, grill and maybe a few other things. I need to find a good body shop near me.
