Ford dealer had it for $69 and then gave a 10% discount because he thought I bought the truck there. So I went back the next day and got a set (4) of molded mudflaps for about the same price.

They offer two models. Regular and low profile. The low profile is nice and close to the hood but it's harder to slide a mitt or towel under it.

MRILEY paid about the same here . Like the F150 on the shield looks great on the truck. Also wondering about the mud shields thinking the truck sits to high. My 99 and my 03 flares had the factory mud shields and they did look good. They sit alot lower then the 04 in any package.

On the 04 version of the mud guard, Ford went with plastic instead of the heavy rubber found on the older model. They work to keep the truck clean but I don't like them as much... If I find a pair of heavy rubber mud guards I think I will switch.

Here's a good thread on the mud guards. My only tip is not to remove the upper clips on the wheel well trim found on the Lariat and FX4 as the pictures show.

Sorry, it looks like we are highjacking this thread...

Yes, it's a low profile.

The regular guard is easier to clean under it with a wash mitt so I just use a small towel.

To me, it's there to protect the front hood from stones and look good. The low just looks better.
