Grooved Rotors

Just letting everyone know so they can look at thier trucks..... I had seriously grooved rear rotors after only 4000 miles on my screw FX4. Today I too the truck for servicing and i told the service rep about the rotors. He tried to tell me it was normal wear and i said ooo yea.... and i just went off.... i was so angry the head service manager of Gary Omens Ford (Daytona Beach)had to come out. I was like dont bs me because i am a aircraft mechanic, which i am, and the mood instanlly changed b/c he new i was not just some young kid that didnt now jack crap. He then calmed me down and was like "we will look at them" and i said ok. Only the backs were grooved out and he said it must have been due to hard spots in the pads and that the rear pads were probablly made from the same batch which could have be defective. So they turned my rear rotors and put on new pads, so now i am happy. I cannot believe the crap they tell you at dealerships... i hate dealing with people who dont know anything. Just a red flag to keep a eye on your rotors....... IF they get grooved again i will go bannanas....
