Bad News = No New Truck
The short version is that when I took my new FX4 on a test drive before finalizing everything it had a rather noticeable vibration between 55/62 mph. The dealer has not been able to correct it and says it is normal when the truck is in overdrive at that speed. It was difficult for me to walk away from the deal because I really like the truck and finding an FX4 with no moonroof in shadow grey was not easy. Also this truck had brake squeal at various times that concerned me --- dealer said this was normal and would go away when the rust on the rotors was worn off??? Of course the dealer was not happy, but I won't go into the gory details. I'm kind of sad about all this, but I guess I did the right thing. Not sure if I'm going to pursue another truck right now.

You made the right decision. And any salesman who said the vibration and brake squeel are normal, should ride in my FX4 - No vibes, no squeel. I'm not sure I'd trust that dealership and go back again.
Or maybe I should bring my truck into my dealer and have it "fixed" so it has vibes and a squeel.

Probably just dealerspeak for -- "I want to sell this truck at all costs and I'm willing to say anything to get you to sign up and drive off the lot. I'll worry and deal with your problems later or then again I might not."
Sorry but I'm a little down on the whole "buying experience" right now. Someday the way we have to buy vehicles is going to change. As things are now, dealing with the S**'s almost takes away all the fun and excitement of a new vehicle.
