Anyone heard of a kit yet for the 04? I would really like to get more HP but of course I didn't want the higher price tag of the XLT, SXT, Lariat, or FX4 with the 5.4. I got what was on the lot. XL 4x4 with the 4.6.

Not going to be a drag truck I just want more power for towing and get out of my own way kind of driving. of course it won't hurt to have some more power offroad once I get some more tire and a lift for this thing either.

I have already looked at Kenne Bell, Vortech, and ATI Procharger. None have a kit or appear to have one in the works either.

To my knowledge, there were no changes made to the 4.6, only the 5.4. There should be plenty of superchargers out for the 4.6. I don't know for sure though.

Post in the Super/Turbochargers forum. Those speeds nuts will tell you how/when/what. Like is was said, it's the same engine, I'm sure there are plenty of kits to fit.

 

doesn't the 4.6 now have 3 valves? I guess that wouldn't make alot of chang though.

 

For 2005 I think they are moving to the 3 valve but not 100% sure. The 2004 new body and heritage still have the 2 valve.

nope these are all 2v and the 3v 4.6 isnt going to be out till 06 or 07.
