Question Regarding Idle

When at a stop on level ground, I can take my foot off the brake and the truck will not move. Normal automatics creep when the brake is released. Does anyone else's truck do this? I've noticed that when I've just started my truck it will pull itself from a stop but when it gets warmed up it won't pull. Any ideas on if this is a performance prob that could be fixed by a reflash?

Didn't make it to the dealer this weekend, work called. Hoping for next saturday to address this among other issues

Thanks,

Jansen

Yep, normal. You will also probably roll back a wee bit when stopped on a steep incline if you take your foot off the brake.

I'm glad it is normal so why does it do that? Does it save on gas or ??

thanks again.

If I had to make a guess, I'd say to keep the vehicle from running over someone if the truck is in drive and a foot is not on the brake. they probably believe that stupid brake-park interlock pain in the butt isn't enough to prevent a lawsuit.

My FX4 is the opposite...no matter when I let off the brake it creeps forward...course here in the foothills the air is thinner, who knows
