1714 on 04 Screw probs

intalled the Hi-Perf and then the Tow-Perf modes. I have been getting engine lights. Running the DTC codes whether the engine light or wrench ("limp home") is on states P1000 "monitor checks not complete-more driving required" and P2106= "throttle actuator ctrl system-forced limited power".

The tuning worked for about 2 weeks and then the changes occur. I returned the truck to "stock" and the same thing happened!

I have been pulling posts in 4L, but the problem occured before that.

I tow a utility trailer GVWR 7000lbs, never maxed in weight.

Only mods is AeroTurbine SIDO exhaust and kickin' stereo.

Taking truck to dealer in AM for tx.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Just curious, didja call SuperChips support? Its odd it still performs the error when you went back to the factory image. Maybe it's just a co-inky-dink the problem popped up after the tune. Keep us posted on what the dealer says!

Hi.
The p2106 is the one turning the light on.
It may have nothing to do with the tuner. There have been several post about the throtle body problem even before the tuner was available.Just put the stock program back in and let the dealer fix it.

Follow up from dealer:

The lights were coming on after returning it to stock. Just as the DTC reader stated, it was the throttle actuator.

The dealer reprogrammed the computer and adjusted the throttle cable. Problem fixed, under warranty, and works fine now.

I'm running the stock program for a couple days before I tune it.

Will keep everyone posted.

I had the same code thrown...come to find out, my Airaid intake came off my throttle body, and left about a 1" gap. Causing the throttle body to take in hot air, directly at the throttle body.

Hell, i was so far as to call a tow truck, because the truck would idle, but not go past 750 RPM without killing.

But, i double checked everything 1 more time, and tightened up some bolts, and rest assured it isn't happening again.

Once i put the intake back on the throttle body, everything worked very smoothly, i cleared all DTC via the superchips, and it has never come back on.

I had a tow truck half way there...called him and cancelled....Thank God. I knew my dealership would screw me over if they found out i have aftermarket intake, exhaust, and superchips....

(i would always reset pcm to stock before going into the shop...god knows, they will mess with the pcm, and you wont be able to use the superchips again)

I would recheck everything over (your exhause, throttle body etc.... before bringing it in...especially if its aftermarket....cuz the body shop wont pay for the fixes.....
