04 Screw

HI guys.
Enjoying my 04 Screw 5.4 liter xlt.
What type of gas mileage can I expect? It doesn't appear to be good! I have 140 miles on it. How long before break in?
Should I undercoat it or is it a waste? I may hold off.
So Far I am impressed with the ride quality since I am coming from a tundra. Did not really "whack it" yet since it is not broken in so the jury is still out on the power.

Break-in is 500-1500 miles. You milage will improve. Surveys on the board have shown folks getting anywhere from 12-16mpg mixed driving, and upwards of 17-19mpg on the freeways. Undercoats are worthless unless you live in salty areas AND plan on keeping the truck until you die.

I filled up today at a little over 6000 . This tank pulled a 15.6 mine seems to vary a little must be the weather.

im getting around 14-15mpg around town with 800miles on my truck and i dont drive like a granny. A little tip, if you have the 35.7g tank dont let it drop below half or you wont like your bill at the pump.
