Another New One!!!

Here are the first good pix of my new True Blue F-150 FX4 Flareside, my third F-150. I put them up on my server because I couldn't create a new album in my gallery here.

So far I LOVE IT but there are a couple of things that the dealer will be looking at this week... I am one of the "wavy windshield" brigade, and there is a 1" tear in the bedliner.

One thing I like is that the headlight switch and wiring doesn't require modding for fogs w/o headlights. My '00 is jealous... had a flat this morning that I had to fix before going to DMV to be digitized.

May the mods begin!!!

That's a nice truck. I'm still a little disappointed that I didn't go with the SCab Flareside.

I absolutely love that color, and that is why I purchased one also, Scab Styleside though, but just as nice!

Thanks for the nanners, glad to be back in the game!

First off, those Carriage Works billet grille inserts that I saw on roboots21's truck are a must-have, and that FX4 badge from the Expy. Second will be a rolltop tonneau, right now my money's looking like a Pace Edwards Roll-Top. The Retrax and Roll-Bak look pretty good too. I'm taking the PIAA 520's off of the '00 and will be putting them on a Westin bull bar. Sometime down the road I'd like to do a lift, but right now I'll probably go for a leveling setup. I've got a set of 33" ProComps on the '00 coming off(replacing w/the OEM Wranglers) and might throw them on some 17's.

And that's just the first step on the VERY slippery slope!

Thanks!

I've always been a Flareside kinda guy as you can see.

Yours is another of the True Blues that sold me on the color. One thing I found interesting when searching inventories on the Ford site was how few Flaresides that showed up. Originally I was looking at a Blazing Yellow FX4 Flareside on another lot, but after dealing with that place in the past, I'd rather they not get my money.

The day I made the deal my salesman was looking for the keys and couldn't find them in the usual place. Reason was that they had the truck out front all prettied up to go to the Freehold Cruise Night, which was that evening. It didn't go! Guess I'll have to make it up to them and go to the one on September 30th.

mastermix,

A little off-topic here, but...what do you use on your website for your gallery? Is that a feature of you web hosting service? Or did you code that yourself?

I'm looking for an easy way to create a gallery like this on my site, something that auto-creates the thumbnails, etc.

Nice truck by the way!

I am mainly a Mac guy, and I used iPhoto to create the page. It has a very nifty function where you can select a number of pix, make the desired settings, export as Web Page, drop the resultant files into your webserver and it's a done deal. I'm actually hosting the site on an old 333MHz iMac running Mac OS X Server 10.2 that sits on my network at home. I'm sure there's something similar out there for Windows or whatever OS is your thing.

Oh, and appreciate the comments on the truck! I'm enjoying it tremendously!

I'll take 'em!

Thanks again folks for all the fine comments... not to mention the humorous asides. I've added a few more pix for your perusal.
