My code was in my glovebox on a plastic card that you can put in your wallet.

There are only 3,125 possbile combinations. 10 numbers and a 5-digit pin would normally be 100,000 possible combinations, however they put 2 numbers per button, basically making numbers 1-5. So, A way to calculate this is by N**x
where N is the number of digits possible (here, 5 different digits are
possible) 1 through 5
and x is the number of places available (here we have 5 places available
for a 5 digit number)

note the formula is N raised to the x power

meaning, 5**5

or 5 X 5 X 5 X 5 = 3,125 combinations

My point? Get crackin!!! Figure 5 seconds per combo you'd figure it out well under 4.5 hours!

Dzervit, you forgot to add in the time for the delay if you enter the wrong code more than 3 times in a row.

Hmmmm... wasn't sure there was one. What's the time? It can't be that long.. I've jammed codes in quickly before before I've remembered mine... never had an issue. Does it specify in the OM?

Yep it's in the OM. It's actually 7 attempts (or 35 key strokes) at gaining access and it locks you out.

So he can still have it figured out in less than 3 days. Assuming he doesn't sleep. Or if he's not dedicated and only puts in an 8 hour code-crackin' day, he could have it done in 8 days.
