Without Rails

https://www.f150online.com/galleries....cfm?gnum=4415

I updated my gallery and love this truck without the rails. It takes a tall step to get in the truck. I have a lttle grandparent stool but it would be nice to have an automatic one.

Hey JD,

What are you planning on doing with the rails? If you're planning on getting rid of them, where in Cal are you located?

Thanks!

I just took them out to my ranch in AZ for storage to get the darn things out of my garage in Simi but can always return them and would get rid of them real cheap since I don't want them. Any offers?

Is that a 6" lift or a 4"? Either way that is exactly how I want mine to look. It's very sharp!

I also prefer having the rails, looks like you wheel too. I use mine for steps and an addl blocking force for the rocks/etc.

BTW, off topic but what tire/wheel combo are you running? Looks good.

I have some new style of rims from Eagle and it was not pricey. The riveted baja design seems to work and I didn't have any idea how they would look but from a picture.

The 35 x 12.5 Procom Xterrain tires have the aggesive direction tread. I saw them in the shop getting put on an H1 and had to have some. I have already put 35k on them and had to swap front to back one time. I guess they are wearing ok but the tires are built for offroading and most of my miles are paved. I saw the xterrain on the h1 recently and they were worn much more. I guess the battleship is heavy. I might go with goodyear next time if the tires wear too soon but I sure like them now and the ride is fine and quiet.

The 4" Procomp lift seemed enough and looking at my before pictures most would agree. I am geared back to stock and ready to start getting some needed horse power from the engine.
