Tonneau Master roll-up cover

Does anyone have any experience with Tonneau Master roll-up covers? I'm told that they're made of the same material as the Truxedo but that's about all I know. I'm getting a new red flareside this coming week and want a soft cover for it. If anyone has a picture of their flareside with a soft cover, I'd love to see it.

Thanks.

I have a Tonneau Master roll up on my 6.5 ft bed (not flairside). I'm not sure if it is the same material as a Truxedo (haven't seen a Truxedo up close), but I can tell you that it holds up well. I had it installed in February and it still as good as new. It's been through the ice, snow and 100 degree direct sunlight.
I like the fact that I can lock my tailgate and the cover can't be released and rolled up. There's not much more I can say except that I would recommend it.

Question: I am also looking at the Tonneau Master roll-up covers and wondering if you have had any problems with leaking?

A local dealer here in CT has the low profile model for about $80 less than what I can find an Access or Truxedo cover but I am have not seen any feedback on the Tonneau Master brand.

Thanks

I just installed a TRUXEDO Low-Pro on my new Flareside, looks great, but on the flareside you'll have to drill a hole (6) on the inside of the bedrail for the 6 clamps.....

sorry, no pics, unless somebody reminds me of how to do that!

The only problem I've had with any leaking is right next to the tailgate. A little water may come in between the cover and tailgate (there are 2 very small gaps in the corners), but not nearly as much as from the gap between the truck bed and tailgate, which is no fault of the cover.
I just make sure that anything I need to stay completely dry I put in the front of the bed.

Thank you for the info. I'm headed off to the store during lunch to pick up the new cover and some Ford mud flaps.

Your black on black Lariat is sweet...

AKM... did you get a roll-up for your "FlareSide"?
Did it just clamp on or did you need to drill?

Not yet. Just got the truck last Friday night -- 3 full months after I ordered it! But I'm in love bigtime -- or at least having a serious case of lust.

Found out that both my uncle and cousin have them, though, and they both love 'em. I am planning on ordering mine today. The company says they just clamp on. But since they install it for free, I'll probably have them do it later this week or early next.

I'll post pics ASAP.

Update

Just got back from AutoAmeristar. They called Tonneau Masters and were told that the Sport Master is not yet available for the flareside. They have no ETA yet, either. Funny, when I initially went in to ask about it, I was told "oh yeah, we've got 'em". Grrr...

Might have to pony up for the Truxedo Lo Profile yet.

I just installed the Tonneau Master roll-up cover on my Lariat. I wish every mod was this simple to install. The only complaint I have is the big Tonneau Master logo on the back corner.

Paid $329 if anyone cares.

I'll post some pics when the rain stops.

Sorry, no info on the flareside.

Edit: no drilling, just clamps and works well with a Duraliner

AKM... keep in mind with the TRUXEDO Lo-Profile you will need to drill, as I said before... fortunetly the holes/clamps are inside the bed rail, but the TRUXEDO does look good, level with the bed-rail.

I had a little problem installing the "center" clamp due to the fact that the rail-sides are "bowed out", yes, "bowed out" at the center maybe 1 inch difference from the end (tailgate) and the front bulkhead, but I did install it, along with a "BedRug"......
looks great.

If I had it to do all over again, I would look for a "roll-up" tonneau that does NOT need drilling for the FlareSide........
I'm not even sure there is such an animal.

Just my opinion!

I'd heard that there was an adapter kit for the Lo Pro that made it installable without drillling. The guys at the shop indicated so, too. Hope it's true. I'd really rather not put any holes in. I'll let you know what they do on Monday.
