Thats the Autospring

Springbender is the E-Bay handle for the Autospring Corp. Got the 1.5 and couldn't be happier. Shipping took about 1 wk to get to W. Va. from the northwest via UPS.

jp - after 1,000 miles on the daystar, I can tell you it doesn't effect the ride. I feel NO difference than before. But then again, it might be due to the smooth Detroit roads.

Ok so maybe this is the dumbest question ever asked about this subject but what I don't understand is that I know daystar and similar kits use a small amount of preload in order to lift the truck. Some people say this will stiffen your ride and what not but how does the Autospring kit get all of its lift? If a 1 1/2" spacer gives
2 1/2" to 2 3/4" of lift without any preload. I mean it sounds just like a block to me and a 2" block gives 2" of lift. Can someone please expain.

STXMAn, easy, the strut is mounted further inboard than where the spindle is located. the geometry amplifies the effect of the spacer. I had a 2" autospring spacer which gave me over 3" lift and created clearance issues with the uppercontrol arm clanking against the coil spring when fully extended. they immediately sent me the 1.5" kit which gave me 2.25" lift and eliminated the clearance problem.
