To remove the entire tray, first remove the fascia around the cd player and climate controls. Then you'll see two screws at the top holding it in, I believe they're 5.5mm, but might be 6.5

Ah ha. Upon closer inspection, I now see there is a rubber insert at the bottom of a plastic tray. I got the insert out no problem. I was actually wondering how to remove the black plastic tray. Thanks for the tip on the screw locations.

The reason I am asking is because I want to install my Garmin 276C in the truck. Since the vehicle is a lease, I wanted to find a panel to bolt it to that will be cheap to replace when turn in time comes. I'm going to use the supplied marine mount and thru-bolt it to that tray along with running the power cable behind or maybe under the tray. It looks now like I'll be able to simply replace the rubber insert (covering the mounting holes) when it comes time to turn in the truck. Here's a shot of the GPS in my boat. I'll post pics when I get it in the truck. Thanks for all the replys.
