Magnaflow SIDO Side Exit Exhaust

I was going to post the pics here of my Magnaflow install but the site is being a PITA

I did add them to my photo album..

The install took 1.5 hrs with the biggest part being the removal of the stock exhaust (what a pig that muffler is). It's an easy install with some ramps, a socket set and a rubber hammer. Definately not worth paying someone to install. It does not drone at cruising speeds and has a great low, rumbling tone. I would highly recommend this system for the 04.

very nice .... unfortunately based on my measurements it will not fit the supercrew with the factory chrome tubular step bars, not enought space

I am planning on buying the one like Gibson that the dual exit comes on the same side but behind the tire .. I think it will still look as nice ...

chinin,
I have this exhaust on my supercrew with the factory black platform steps with no clearance problems. Do the chrome tubular ones extend that far past the rear doors?

Just go have one put on man. I got mine for 350.00 with stainless steel tips and a Magnaflow internal X-pipe w/ no internal chambers for 350.00 at a local muffler shop.

Nope. The muffler I purchased already had an X-pipe built into it. It is a no chamber internal x-pipe muffler. On the outside it looks just like a Magnaflow muffler, except on the inside it has an x-pipe.

I got it from Houston Performance www.houstonperformance.com and that is the correct part #. $399 + shipping..total cost was $424 I believe. I've been buying parts from Steve D. there since I got my 99 Cobra, great guy to work with.

Looks nice, but I don't like the idea of side exit exhaust when it's in front of the rear tire. It allows all the exhaust gases/crap to get all over that wheel. That's the reason that Ford moved its stock exhaust from in front of the wheel to behind it between '97 and '98 model years (if I remember right). When I owned my '97 F-150, the wheel behind the exhaust always looked worse than the others. Didn't take long to happen even when rotating them.
