Havent had the wheel exhaust gas problem yet...after 4months. But, the Lightning has the same exhaust outlet and it seems to work fine...from the factory. You would have to be pretty close to the tire to get the stuff on there. Let alone at the speeds you are gonna be going on the street it should just blow away.

yeah, I don't think that is even a valid argument anymore, I don't recall any Lightning owners complaining. I believe the tips are far enough away and angled where that shouldn't be a problem.

I too have been staying away from the side exit in front of the tire more because of the extra noise in the cab caused by the exhaust exiting right behind the cab. I emailed magna flow and they emailed me back today and sait the duel out the rear part number 15834 is slated for production on 9/16/04. guess the wait wont be too much longer.

Thanks a lot. One of those may be in my very near future!

Badpony-

It appears in your photos that your Husky mud-flaps have been painted Arizona Beige. How much and who did it for you, or did you do it yourself? Any reason you didn't go with the Ford flaps?

I took them to a local paint/body shop, $50. I just liked the way the Husky looked. I thought it turned out very well (the color match).

I just noticed you can barely see the edge of the painted side from that picture I posted, I have some better ones I'll put on my website and post one here to get a full view of them.

I just reviewed my posts and had forgotten about this. Your mud flaps look great!

I tow, so definitely need them, but was concerned about the dull gray finish (looks ok on my other blue truck), but the Arizona Beige paint does the trick.

These flaps are flexible, will that have any affect on the paint? Would it crack if you scraped the flaps against something?

Thanks for posting the pictures, they really look good!

(It amazes me that I really loved this truck when I bought it, and it outshines my old trucks, and yet I have been spending a lot of money on mods . . . go figure!)
