Silverstars for the '04??

I went to Auto Zone today to upgrade all my lights to Silverstars and found only the turn signal bulb, 3157. The guy there said his computer did not show a light for the headlights or fogs. Does Silverstar offer bulbs for the '04??

There is a crossover bulb for the fogs, as for the headlights everyone with 9008 bulbs is at a loss.

i know this thread is over a month old, but i figured i'd post here than start a new thread.

Whats the deal... still nothing for the headlights? I was driving tonight and noticed how yellow the headlights are, yet with high beams on it's much whiter.

sylvania is not allowed to produce the silverstars for the headlights (9008/h13 bulb). There will never be a silverstar for this bulb. DOT wont allow the bulbs to be coated. Stock or a complete new system is what u have left for upgrades.

Where did you hear this?

My day job is making the H13 lamp and I've never heard anything about it.

if your day job is making the H13 your night job should be making an aftermarket replacement for us enthusiasts

heard it straight from the horses mouth at sylvania, twice. I didnt believe the first customer rep so i asked again.

The H13 (9008) will not be available in the SilverStar option. The National Highway Traffic Safety Board has specified that this particular lamp cannot be coated; therefore it cannot be offered in the SilverStar upgrade.

thanks,

Dang that sucks! Will bulb manufacturers like APC be able to make off road headlight bulbs in a higher wattage? I know they arent street legal, but I have ran them on every previous vehicle I have owned.
