replacing broken driver's side mirror

garage incident - only the mirror and mirror mount broke internally, everything else is fine - not even a scratch.

Should I take it to the dealer or find a replacement junk yard part? If junkyard has anyone replaced the mirror yet and how did it go?

I have replaced my passenger side miror. I backup through a very narrow dark driveway and hit a tree with the mirror and it broke going forward. anyhow, It is really simple to do you have to remove the door panel be careful when you pull the bolts out I think there was 3 you lift the door panel straight up try not to break the clips they cannot be replaced they are part of the panel. After panel is off you have to pull back the plastic and remove 2 bolts that hold mirror on. It takes about 15 Min. My miror I got at dealer cost about 75.00 retail is about 112.00 (Heated w/signals)

Sorry to hear about your mirror. I am worried I am going to do the same thing one day pulling into the garage. With my truck and the wifes Mustang GT I have to pull the drivers side mirror in every time I park. I just hope one day I don't forget. Check out this thread for information on replacing the mirror.

Found this on E-bay. Not sure if you have heated mirrors?
