mjninke,

I'm still waiting on a new drive shaft. There is a new drive shaft coming real soon that is suppose to resolve this issue. I read somewhere that the new drive shaft will be ready in September. I didn't get that from my dealer.

My dealer did say that there is a new drive shaft being ordered with a different part number for my truck and it should resolve the problem. Funny thing is that after the Ford Engineer worked on my truck the vibration is about 80% gone. He did something to my truck.

PA ... The ford engineer drove mine friday with the octupus. This is a computer with a bunch of sensors that they place all around the truck. They drive the truck and then the computer tells them from the freq. of the vibration what is vibrating...

The engineer said it's a new drive shaft that will fix my vibe. My dealer also said that it may take a few tries before it's right since the driveshaft can be put in there a bunch of different ways... So that means they might have to have me drive it a little and then bring it back for them to rotate it...

Oh well, all this time I don't have my ride just adds up... If I hit 30 or have to bring this truck in one more time for a vibration issue (6th time) then I am done with that truck...

To any of you guys with vibration problems has the dealer checked the pinion angles of the drive shaft to U-joints to insure they are to factory specifications? If not that “could” be a possible cause for vibration at different speeds and sometimes no two trucks are a like as to where they may begin to vibrate if the pinion angle is not within specifications…
