Anyone replace 18"rims but keep the stock tires?

I'm currently preparing to purchase a set of AR Mojaves with the teflon finish. However, I would like to keep my factory tires (Goodyear AT's) until I lift the truck and then purchase larger ones.

One thing though, the Mojaves come in 18/9.5 and the factory 18's I believe are 18/8. Is this safe to do and do any of you have pics of the factory tires swapped over to aftermarket rims(please include the width of your rim).

Thanks for all of the help, Jerry

I would not think this would be a problem. I did this with my 2000 F-150. I swapped the rims and went with a 16x8 wheel and kept the stock tires.

Oh and The stock rims are 7.5" wide.
Good luck. I have been wondering what those rims will look like on our trucks I've been looking at them for awhile.
