Ram vs F150
I did test drive both. I now have an 04 supercrew with the 4.6L V8. I test drove the Hemi and didnt think it was all that great. With all the talk I have heard about it, I was not impressed. Maybe it is becasue I drove a lightning a the time, but it didnt seem worth it to get the hemi. As I said, I have the 4.6L V8 and I like it. It is not the fastest but it gets the job done. I have put exhaust and intake and will be getting the programmer soon. I think it will be sufficient.

Thanks for all the replys guys! For the person that asked what I will be using it for, just for weekend trips to home depot and other various things (no major towing). I had a 99 silverado and traded it in for an explorer in 02( had kids and needed 4 doors), and in two years realized how much I miss having a truck. I can probably get a SLT Hemi Ram Lone Star edition for about 20k and an XLT SCREW with no options and the 4.6 for about 22K. I like the F150 most, but it's kind of hard to pass up the Ram for the price! I'm trying to keep the price down because I still have 3 yrs on the Explorer and don't want to wait on my truck any longer. I'll be test driving soon!

The nicer and pricier the truck, the more the holdback.
Selling a truck at invoice is commonplace, at least down
here in Florida.
Nobody is going to give you the holdback.
You are not entitled to that.

I had a dealer offer me half of the hold back. I didn't take it because I had already been working with another dealer, who I had already worked a deal, plus it was the dealer that I will take my truck to if it needs repairs. I really don't think that he could offer me more (the dealer that offered me half of the hold back) than I was getting from the dealer closest to my house.

amazing how civilized we are when comparing to Dodge.
whenever it's Ford vs Nissan, the thread gets closed down.
interesting indeed.

That's true-
As soon as you type the word "Titan" certain people put their dukes up, and go into attack mode.
I think everyone on this site is 100% clear that the F-150 is superior in many ways to the Ram, so the Ram is not viewed as an engineering threat to Ford- not until you go into the heavyweight's at least...
250/2500, 350/3500, dualies & diesels...
Cummins versus PowerStroke.
Interesting note- in this month's (September) Motor Trend, the F-250 HD defeated the Dodge (Cummins) and GM (Duramax) Diesels.
* I didn't know that the GM Duramax was provided by.. (Drum roll please).......
Isuzu

GM likes to mix it up with fellow automakers (and I guess that's not all that bad of an idea).
GM + Toyota = Geo
I had a 1990 Prizm as my first car. The thing was a TANK. Replaced a head gasket and a front main seal in nearly 150,000 miles. Only two major problems I ever had...

Yeah, I have a friend at work that drives to Plano from Bumfockegypt, Oklahoma everyday, and back.
He had a 94 Geo Metro- and put over 400,000 miles on it before it broke; he just bought another one with 100,000 miles or so on it, he has 300,000 to go!

I really love the way the F-150 looks thats the only reason i bought for interior and exterior (Best looking Truck on the market). But the Motor "SUCKS" I have a 5.4 triton I dont think i could beat 4 cylinder honda stock. Ford rates the motor at 300hp "No Way" You have to spend an additional 1000.00 to make it feel like 300hp in aftermarket products. My friend has the dodge hemi truck he blows my doors off. So my truck is basically all show and no go
