well, earlier this month i got in a wreck and totalled my truck . the insurance came and took care of my mistake (yes the accident was my fault) and am not saving and searching for a new truck (hopefully this one will last me longer ><) anyways.

been looking around the next and i've found 3 possibilities.

all STX models, 1 a regular cab for about $16k and the other 2 supercabs for about $19k that is with rebate added to them. i think for a 2004 f150 stx those prices seem reasonable. just wanting some opinon on which i should do. go with the cheaper reg cab or spend a few extra bills for the more roomy supercab.

im leaning towards the supercab but my first truck was a reg cab and i loved her so.

Go for the spacious supercab. You will never regret it. I hope that you are ok after the accident. Looked at your photos of your truck after the accident. Looks like the new frame collapsed some like they said they would. How fast was you traveling when you hit?

well was driving from friends house to my house at 4am in the morning and had been up all day the previous day so...one thing led to another and i fell asleep at the wheel. i was doing about 80mph before i had fallen asleep and when i came to i was up to 90mph and closing in on a car infront of me (less than a cars lenght ahead of me) i paniced and tried to pass on the left. lost control and came back and smacked the car infront of me on the front and from his push it sent my truck foward into the concrete guardrail that over sees MLK blvd. (i was on the interstate where the limit is 75mph)

i figure from the passing and the impact of the other car i probably was doing 80mph when i hit the guardrail.

everyone was ok, their car wasnt totalled, no one was seriously injured.

That is good news that no one was hurt. Vehicles can be replaced, humans can't.

IMO go for the extra room. Be careful out there with the new one.

Unless you're a family man you may need the extra space but I like the regular cabs trucks myself.

Qiterplop--About all I can tell you from what I have gathered here, is that since you didn't die in your sleep, then according to your own logic you should have known about it before the next morning-unless you were too busy studying for your bar exam or otherwise doing something you shouldn't have been and then you just might not have remembered- -this is all so far out man, I hope you're still with me. Alright, so much for that, now if your mental facilities are still on track, the reg cab stx is a great buy (I bought one for the price you mentioned), it's got a small amount of extra space & (2) extra nifty small doors & it looks cool, I guess. Now the bigger doors & more extra space w/seats costs more money of course. It's just how you weigh what you want or need against how much money you've got to play with. Good Luck man & try to start getting more sleep! <Yo> /\

Not that this is what you were talking about, but it looks like the cab of the truck didn't suffer any damage in your wreck. The crumple zones and cab design worked perfectly in protecting you, now that's some good engineering........

well after some searching around i can get a 04 f150 supercab black STX with a few nice features. it runs around 19k could probably get it for a little bit lower. hopefully it'll be around or something similar in a month or two, once i get most of this stuff settled and dealt with.
