Ballmount drop, how much?
I have a 4x2 Lariat Screw, no lift kits. Need to get a new ballmount in the next few weeks. Currently have one with 2" drop, but I don't think that will be enough. What drop would you suggest?
You want whatever drop/rise makes your trailer sit level. Best thing to do is to back your truck up like you were going to hook up. Then adjust the tounge jack so the trailer sit level. Measure the difference and buy accordingly. Don't forget to take in whatever rear end sag will result as to the tounge weight of the trailer.
If you are serious about towing and will be pulling different trailers, you will most likely need a couple different drawbars with different drops.
If I had to buy one drawbar though, I would buy a 2" drop. That way you can flip it upside down if need be to get your tongue closer to level.

$53 for the Putnam adjustable mount and $30 for an adjustable ball and you'll be set to tow pretty much anything appropriate for an F-150.
