xm installation

just got the xm commander today. ive seen a lot of guys put theres in the ashtray which is what id like to do. the only wiring on this truck ive done is the lights so i have a couple questions.
how do you get behind ashtray to put the wire through ( i figured id mount the reciver down over the pedals) and i know the yellow wire goes to the battery but where to the red one go ---> To accessory (ACC) power (RED)?
i appreciate the help, thanks a lot

You will have to drill a hole in the back of your ash tray for the wire. That keeps the head unit sitting right and stay in place. I have my head unit sitting on a peice of black painted 2x2. It make the head sit right at the correct height to be able to close the ash tray and you can't see the wood.
