I've been on this forum for a while and I keep seeing this "Audiophile" option mentioned. How do you know if your truck has it? Is it on the window sticker. The Ford web site says it's optional in the FX4. I have the FX4 Scab with the 6 CD Changer. OK, I don't know much about car audio. Help!

 

It would be under your options on the sticker. You can have a 6-disc changer and not the Audiophile. The 6-disc changer that comes with the Audiophile is different than the stock 6-disc changer. The Audiophile has an upgraded 80 watt head and comes with 7 Boston accoustic speakers (separate speaker and tweeter in the front) with a 10" sub woofer under the back seat with its own 90 watt amp.

The option runs near $500 I think. The sound is PHENOMINAL. I think if you had it you would know it. I love mine!!

 

Wow, It must be great sounding, because I thought the "stock" 6 cd disk changer system sounded fantastic! I know I don't have the audiophile, there's no subwoofer or amp under the back seat. Thanks!

 

It comes with an 8'' sub not an 10'' sub. Just clearing that up. Still sounds good.
